CCM: Nicosulfuron TC: export volume and price experience large YoY falls in Q1 2016

  In Q1 2016 (Jan.-March), China's nicosulfuron TC market remained slack, with downstream purchasers holding wait-and-see attitude. Most formulation manufacturers gradually stocked up for production, and the product price stood still. 

  
Regarding the export, according to China Customs and CCM, the export price of nicosulfuron TC was USD33.26/kg in Q1 2016, down 24.52% when compared to USD44.07/kg in Q1 2015. Notably, the slumping export price did not spur up the export volume – 65.63 tonnes, down 36.83% YoY. The significant reduction in both export volume and price also caused largely declining export value.

  
In Q2 2016, as replenishment of downstream purchasers comes to an end, the nicosulfuron TC enters the slack season. The market price maintains relatively low and the export price also stands still. The export volume depends mostly on overseas purchasers' plans.

China mainly exported nicosulfuron TC to France, Japan, Portugal, Slovenia and Turkey in Q1 2016. These five countries imported 56.40 tonnes of nicosulfuron TC from China in total. It should be mentioned that France imported 32 tonnes, 48.76% of the total.

  
In addition, the exported nicosulfuron TC was mainly produced by Jiangsu Changqing Agrochemical Nantong Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu Changqing), Jiangsu Repont Pesticide Factory Co., Ltd., Shandong Bonong Agricultural Development Limited Company, Jiangsu Fengshan Group Co., Ltd. and Zibo Nab Agrochemicals Co., Ltd. They exported 52.42 tonnes of nicosulfuron TC in Q1 2016, 79.87% of China's total. Notably, Jiangsu Changqing exported 27 tonnes, 41.14% of the total.
